Thirty-one-year-old Van Buren resident Nathan Scott was critically hurt on June 12 when a car hit him while he was operating his motorcycle, KSFM reported.
According to police reports, a car failed to stop at a stop sign on U.S. Highway 271 at around 3:40 p.m., instead driving forward and striking Scott. The force of the crash caused Scott to fly off his 2005 Honda motorcycle. When authorities responded to the scene, Scott was airlifted by helicopter to the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville for treatment.
The vehicle that caused the motorcycle accident was a 1996 Chevrolet, although the driver was not named. The driver was taken to the Sparks Medical Center in Fort Smith and was released soon after.
