Arkansas Online reported several accidents that happened on June 13 in the state, including the two following fatal traffic accidents.
An Arkansas State Police report showed that 36-year-old Tucker resident Cedric Herron succumbed to mortal injuries in a vehicular accident on Arkansas 165 in Lonoke County at around 5:23 p.m.
According to preliminary investigations made by the police, the driver of the 2002 Honda Accord in which Herron was a passenger failed to manage a curve, causing it to veer off the roadway, strike a tree, and rollover.
In a separate incident, a head-on collision between two vehicles in Jefferson County resulted in the death of 56-year-old Pine Bluff resident Clifton Shine, Jr.
Police said Shine was heading west on U.S. 270 in a 2008 Chrysler at around 12:50 a.m. when the vehicle he was driving collided head-on with a 2010 Chevrolet, which was going east on U.S. 270.
