Vehicle hits 15-year-old pedestrian in Fort Smith

The Fort Smith Police Department in Arkansas has reported that a 15-year-old pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while he was crossing the street at around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, January 1 in the intersection of Grand Avenue and North 21st Street.

Emergency medical responders who came to the victim’s aid after the incident reported that he was unconscious and had to be transported via a stretcher from where he lay sprawled on the ground to an ambulance.

Police officers did not release the victim’s name to the public on account of him being a minor, but his family was notified about his situation.
