A Waste Management truck was involved in an accident in Lowell, Arkansas on Thursday, June 16. The accident, which occurred around 5 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-49, resulted in the death of one individual.

The victim was identified as 33-year-old Springdale resident Samantha Wender. According to preliminary investigations, Wender was driving in the right lane when she lost control of her vehicle. She over-corrected, which caused her to hit the Waste Management truck in the left lane. Both vehicles went into a nearby ditch, but the driver of the truck was not injured. A Waste Management representative for Arkansas, George Wheatley, described the situation as heartbreaking, and noted, “Our deepest sympathies go out to everyone affected and their families.”

The attorneys at McCutchen Napurano - The Law Firm are also saddened to hear of this accident. Our sincerest condolences go out to the family of the victim in this accident as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
