One dead and two hurt in Independence County three-vehicle collision

A three-vehicle collision in Independence County, Arkansas resulted in the death of one individual and the serious injuries of two others. The accident happened around 3 in the afternoon on Tuesday, January 3 along Highway 167 South.

The victim was identified as 67-year-old Batesville resident Paul Howard Teague and the injured were identified as 24-year-old Batesville resident Dalton Littleton and 24-year-old Rachel Keeling. According to preliminary investigations, Teague was traveling south along Highway 167 in a 1998 Jeep when he crossed the center line and proceeded to strike a 2010 Chevrolet and a 2014 Chevrolet. The collision wounded Littleton and Keeling in the process. Littleton and Keeling were transported to White River Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
